BESS origination

The BESS bottleneck is not the land. It is prequalification.

Micro and mini storage close to the grid, or BESS layered onto an existing PV project: land prequalified by GIS scoring, verified connection, qualified zoning. Time-to-market 12 to 18 months.

BESS land prequalified by GIS scoring, close to the grid
The observation

BESS is not a land problem. It is a criteria problem.

It is not surface that is missing, 250 m² can be enough. It is the combination of criteria to satisfy at the same time: grid proximity, residual capacity, compatible zoning, distance to dwellings, fire safety, outside flood zones. This prequalification is industrialised nowhere on the market. And while deep-pocketed players fight over the large HV format, micro and mini BESS stays open, not for long.

The offer

Three ways to attack the segment.

Micro-BESS as the flagship product

2×250 kW connected at low voltage, or 750 kW to 2.5 MW modules tapped onto a nearby MV line. Small footprint, ideally on an industrial estate. A faster and cheaper connection study, quick prior declaration, limited capex, and asset management now backed by aggregators: financing is accessible and returns are strong for those who move now.

BESS layered onto an existing PV project

Every PV plot under development is a potential BESS site: known connection, owner already under contract, planning partly processed. We graft a storage module onto the ongoing project without disrupting it. A single asset becomes a dual asset.

Standalone and co-location on demand

If land for a larger BESS comes up, we know how to respond. But our origination core revolves around micro and mini.

A data-first approach

A valid BESS site means six criteria satisfied at once, a data cross-referencing job, not prospecting.

We cross-reference in GIS the layers that make a site valuable. The scoring qualifies the site before any human intervention. A connection-driven brief, not a land-driven one, because it is the grid that makes a BESS project valuable.

For whom

Pure-play storage, or PV diversifying.

Pure-play storage developers, and PV developers diversifying who want to attack BESS without building sourcing expertise in-house.

The segment is open. It will not stay that way.
